HISTORY

Solar Roof Fans is an evolution of the development of using wind forced air from the morning easterly's in Perth Western Australia to keep a domestic roof space cool in summer in Perth WA. This technique moves several times more air through the roof in the early part of the day compared to whirlybirds however like the whirlybirds ceases to be effective once the wind dies down in the hottest part of the day. The Solar Roof Fan is the best solution.

There are two models.

Model SRF18

Has 18 computer fans with approximately 70 watts of power and a 200 watt solar panel. This is designed to cope with domestic houses with a roof foot-print up to 200 m2 or a black roof up to 150 m2. Depending on site specifics will have an airflow of around 1,800 m3 an hour. This is equivalent to over 3 large bathroom fans. This will give in excess of 6 complete air changes in an hour.

Model SRF32

Has 32 computer fans with approximately 120 watts of power and a 200 watt solar panel. This is designed to cope with domestic houses with a roof foot print up to 350 m2 or a black roof up to 300 m2. Depending on site specifics will have an airflow of around 3,200 m3 an hour. This is equivalent to over 6 large bathroom fans. This will give in excess of 6 complete air changes in an hour.
